Job Description:
The Head of Strategic Partnerships will spearhead initiatives focused on leveraging paytech’s extensive client network, which includes payment service providers (PSPs), financial institutions and merchants. The ideal candidate will engage with our existing clients to understand their needs and objectives, facilitate valuable connections, and negotiate with new providers to secure beneficial integrations that enhance our platform’s capabilities. The position also entails identifying, building relationships with, and incorporating key accreditations and high-value industry partners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage with existing clients to identify their needs and business objectives.
- Develop strategies to match client needs with the services and offerings of other clients within the network.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal clients and other key industry partners.
- Utilise an existing network of industry contacts to expand paytech’s reach and capabilities.
- Maintain a comprehensive database of providers, merchants, payment methods, and other relevant industry data to support strategic decisions and partnership opportunities.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure seamless integration and rollout of new services.
- Regularly assess market trends and competitor activities to adapt strategies accordingly.
- Represent paytech at industry conferences, seminars, and networking events.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in business development or strategic partnerships, ideally within the payment services or fintech sector.
- Strong existing network of contacts within the payment industry, including providers and merchants.
- Demonstrated ability to identify client needs and develop creative solutions to facilitate business connections.
- Excellent negotiation and relationship management skills.
- Strategic thinker with a track record of driving growth through new partnerships and initiatives.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and lead initiatives.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or related field; MBA preferred.
